User guide: getting started
Your glasses are ready in 2 minutes. Follow these steps in order.
Charge them
Plug the included USB cable into the arm and into a charger or computer. A full first charge before the party is ideal.
Get the free app
Download "Funky Glasses" from the App Store or Google Play.
Turn on and connect
Press the button on the arm, turn on Bluetooth on your phone, then connect the glasses from the app (not from the Bluetooth settings).
Type your word
In "Text", type your message in lowercase: 5 characters show at a time, longer text scrolls. Ideas on the Word ideas page.
Play with the modes
Animations, images, music mode that follows the sound, or pixel-by-pixel drawing. You can also set brightness and speed.
Having trouble?
The glasses don't show up in the app
Close the app, turn the glasses off and on again, and retry. On Android, also allow location for the app (required for Bluetooth).
My text doesn't fit
That's normal past 5 characters: switch to scrolling text. Capitals and wide letters (m, w) take more space.
How long does the battery last?
Several hours depending on brightness. Turn it down to last all night.
